Most of them are nostalgia acts, recycling the faded glory days of yore when they were writing and performing important music. Not so with Daniel Amos. Fueled by the songwriting genius and inimitable voice of Terry Scott Taylor, the twin guitar attack of Jerry Chamberlain and Greg Flesch, the rock-solid drumming of Ed McTaggart and the low end and high harmonies of new bassist Paul Averitt, Daniel Amos is making music that is just as fresh and vital as the their glory years. Sure, on this new tour they will reach back into their storied past for the nuggets and the “shoulda been” hits, but rest assured they will be playing 21st century music right up there with the likes of Radiohead, Wilco and Flaming Lips.

Daniel Amos hasn’t toured in more than ten years, but the summer tour of 2011 is a rare chance to experience not only the great music but also the onstage spectacle of one of the truly great bands, still in their prime after 35 years.

Time: 6pm – 11:30pm
Who: This call is ONLY for men & women ages 16 and up.

Schedule:

6pm
Arrive at Cornerstone Church in Simi Valley located at:
2080 Winifred Street
Simi Valley, CA 93063-2933

6:30pm
Pizza will be served.

7:30pm
Groups will be loaded into busses and brought to the shoot location.

7pm
The fun begins!

IMPORTANT DETAILS:

What to wear:
-This movie is set in the Fall – we are asking that you wear clothing appropriate for the season.  Sweaters, sweatshirts, jeans, Christmas hats, etc.

What NOT to wear:
-No plaids, stripes, white clothing or anything else that feels “busy.”
-No open toed shoes.
-Do not wear any clothing with large, visible logos.

What to bring:
-A good attitude! 
-Something to drink.

What NOT to bring:
-Do not bring any valuables, we will not be responsible.
-Cameras – photography will not be permitted.

What to expect:
-A fun time with Matthew and a few hundred new friends.  Matthew will have his guitar – so don’t be surprised if you get treated to some songs!

About the scene:
-We will be shooting the final scene of the movie.  This is where all of the neighbors come together to show their love and support for the Locke family.  Watch the music video to Matthew’s song “One Last Christmas” and you will see the specific scene that we are looking to recreate.  To view music video Click Here
